Hello, everyone...

I have a couple of questions about songs in TCOM.

After Eddie loses to Amos, and argues with Vince and Carmen in the stiarwell, there's a song that plays when he's looking in the window at Chalkie's at about 6:20. It starts with whistling...

The other song is around 10:13, after Mozelle beats Eddie, and the little old man is pulling the rack up.

Anybody know what songs these are ?

And proofread it, too. What the h*** is a stiarwell ???

Thanks, Cuesblues, but that was the song that played during Eddie's last game against Amos, when Amos asks that subtle question, "Do I need to lose some weight ??"

My journey continues...
 
It's part of the original score done by Robbie Robertson; isn't on the soundtrack and it's not on any album:frown:...If you google it, you'll find others have been looking for this tune for quite a while, to no avail. I agree; it's awesome...I thought Willie Dixon might have been doing the whistling on the score for Robertson, but it's not on any of his albums, either. Oh well....

Damn... I was hoping to find it WITHOUT the dialogue...

I googled all those songs (save for the ones I knew were on the album)...

A lot of older stuff, the Bodeans one is when Eddie first shows up in the green room in AC (when he runs into Julian and Pretty Boy Mataya)...

Found the one where Eddie's dancing with Janelle before Julian bangs on the window. Can't remember which one that is right now...

The Bo Diddley song is when Eddie and Vince are playing at Chalkie's (when they send Carmen back to the hotel)...

I've been lookin' for a while...

Download the app shazam on your smart phone. Then play the part with the song and click shazam and let your phone listen. Might work.
 
IMO that George Johnson song doesn't sound anything like it. But thinks for the name. I was delighted to listen to the song.

Or Soundhound. That app has worked well for me.

Both are free, if I recall. Try them and see.
 
I tried the shezam app last night several times on the YouTube link above of the com going to ac link. No dice. Tried it at several different points in the clip.
 
I googled color of money sound tracks..an found ten tracks listed...are you saying there are more tunes in the movie,then are listed on the sound tracks,that are for sale ?

Shazam works on songs without lyrics, and on non-lyric sections of songs with lyrics. It doesn't have every song in its database however. I use it sometimes on the local university stations that play more obscure music and it often does not have them in its database.

Its actually one of the few apps I actually paid for. Nice to have it imo.

I'd guess it's blues music but I'm not sure. Find out what type of music it is, then find a forum for that type of music and post it on the music forum. I'm sure someone there knows the answer.
 
Is there not an AAP available for the IPhone? Maybe others too.
Turn on the AP and let it listen to the music. 10 seconds later and you have the answer.

Maybe a long shot but one could try.
