Hi, I am new here and just returning to the game after a long layoff. I look forward to being here on a regular basis.

I was wondering if there are any must have instructional dvd/books out now. When I left the game, there was absolutely nothing, and I don't want to waste my time again.

I would consider myself an advanced player or at least will be there again soon.

Thanks in advance for any help and I look forward to getting to know some of you!
 
I don't know what your definition of an advanced player is but here are about the best on the market.

If you are after must know shots in 9 Ball get Bob Hennings DVD and books that accompany them.

A lot of technical stuff and way more than you need to know, Don Fenney

Each set will run close to $100. Sometimes you can catch them on the resale for a little cheaper.

You will find some overlap and maybe things that you thought you already knew but a little review does help and you may pick up something that helps you. Each instructor has a different way of demonstrating and it helps to see different approaches.
