Must See - WPS 8B - Incredible Out by Chris Melling - VIDEO

I agree, the masse shot was the most difficult to execute of the three.

IMO, the masse was the easiest of the shots. The object ball was near the rail and only a couple of inches from the pocket. All he had to do was hit the rail in front of the ball and the spin from the cue ball would carry it in the pocket.

If he had did a masse to an object ball in the middle of the table and made it in the hole it may have been a little more impressive to me.

Maybe you haven't seen shots like this done many times. I've played pool for more than 50 years and can't count the number of times I've seen them done.

I'm not saying he didn't shoot well...I'm just saying it takes a bit more than that to make me all excited.

It was not your standard masse-around-a-ball masse shot--the masse effect had to take probably six feet or so after he struck the cueball, and it required a lot of masse. Being accurate with a masse shot like that is extremely difficult.

I'm impressed that you're impressed!

For what it's worth, having shot many masse' shots over the years, I totally agree with you. It was the easiest of the three shots. The first shot was the toughest.

What made the run great was the fact that he made three specialty shots in it and didn't really hesitate at all on them. He just looked at what he had to do and did it. He totally let his subconscious take over the shooting in that rack. Great job on his part!

Without

Without questioning luck vs skill or the why or why nots of each shot all I know is I enjoyed the hell out of watching him shoot that rack.
Thanks for posting the video.
