My 1913 Brunswick Kling

This table went from the Hippodrome in Buffalo to a dice room on the American side of Niagara Falls in the 1960s. I purchased it in the 80s and placed it in storage. In 2002 I had it restored to its original majesty and then some. I had the slates heated and I then went ahead and replaced the cushions with Europeon rubber. It plays like a champioship piece of equipment.

Hoppe, Schaffer, and Cochran all had to play on this table. Buffalo was a hotbed of billiard activity in the 20s, 30s, and 40s.

WOW! i can't say enough about the cues but i'm even a bigger sucker for a great billiard table. my father was a good billiard player and never got to play on heated slates. i dabbled in it a bit and i'll tell ya theres nothing like playing on a good heated slate table with perfect cushions. very nice piece of equipment!!

skins ------------- would enjoy playing on this table.......

Nice

Hey Paul

Although I like all games except billiards I must say that this table is absolutely beautiful. The cues look great as well. Can you post more pictures of the table andsome of the cues as well.

Thanks

Kevin

Those were the days ...

Paul,

I played pool at the Hippodrome in Buffalo and also watched Siegel vs Beaty matches there too. I can recall climbing and counting the steps to the upstair room.

Those were the days ... I thought they would never end.

Regards,
Hal

We certainly had mentors who were more than just good players. These were gentlemen from a time gone by.

Had to look twice... hardly ever saw Joe without a sports coat. Was this photo taken - mid 70's (Beaty is heavier than I recall)?

Thanks for sharing this photo.
