Here is my 26 1/2 that I just received back from Paul Mineart. I think he did a great job.

Thanks. Its my favorite cue . The feel of ebony is unique. It seems very hard and tight grained . I have read some where that ebony is used to make magic wands. I hope to use it to cast a spell on my game. LOL
 
Very nice. I'm jealous. I LOVE the look of ebony tipped shafts. Super sexy.

I can't get used to that super long pin/joint thread but hey - I bet it never comes apart during a match lol.
 
This was a wall hanger I found at an estate sale. It looked nice but was not usable . The joint had some slop in it ,the wrap was missing ,the finish was worn off. I found Paul 's website and sent it to him. In less than 3 weeks I received my super straight, super smooth ,super ridged bundle of joy shooter. I.M.H.O. I think this guy really knows what he is doing and highly recommend him.
I put these pictures up to let others know the quality of his work and fast service.

Is this sleeve threaded to accept the shaft pin; is that its purpose?

You were given a great deal. I have found many vintage cues but nothing quite like that.

I originally went to the estate sale for antique billiard chairs they advertised . Some lady bought them and most of the billiard stuff already . I was about to leave and then I spotted 2 of these cues . One ebony and one lighter wood. I regret not buying both. Live and learn.
