I am a fairly new member here who does not post every day, but I read the threads daily. I have responded to a few threads lately and I signed off with "JT" in each off them. These are my initials too. I just realized you use the same initials. I have seen it a hundred times, but it just didn't sink in til this morning. You have been a well respected member here for quite some time, so I plan to no longer infringe upon your sign off. Thank you for all of your witty, informative posts. You bring tons of wisdom and experience to this forum.

I hope you feel really bad for what you did... this is probably one of the worst things you can do to someone on a forum, let alone someone of JohnnyT's v-stature.

Hey, Doodysquat.
That's very nice of you to conider our fellow members, but quite honestly,
I have never known Johnnyt to use anything other than just that: Johnnyt (all run together).

I don't see any potential for confusion or "infringement;" especially if your avatar and the like are different.
You might be making this out more than it needs to be, sir.
 
Hahaha....ok. I get it. I really opened a big can of worms. Johnny is everywhere here, and I see how the regular posters stick together. Me being kinda new, I know I will have to earn my spot. Let the games begin!!

I have been using JT for a few weeks. Trying to save ink in the laptop. I'll go back to Johnnyt. Good new members are more important. Johnnyt

Excellent choice, Johnnyt.
You are known on this forum as one of the positive contributors.
Along with that, a lot can be said for a name.
It's always best to leave a "good brand" alone.
I applaud you for both preventing any "barriers to entry" on our forum and leaving what works alone!:)

I built a few 34 ford hot rods with Caddy and Buick engines in them. Drove a Model T on my uncles farm for about 30 seconds until he caught me. Johnnyt
