The 9th annual Derby City Classic was a great success as most of you already know. Thank you Greg, Mark, Julie, the Diamond crew, and the Executive West Hotel for another GREAT event!

A very special thank you to Godzilla, Kevin S, and the many, many others (esp those of you that didn't partake in the private room, like Godzilla & Kevin) that made it a point to go out of their way to introduce themselves to me and to thank me for the efforts I put forth this past yr with the raffle and subsequent rash of BS that I received because of the payment deadline. I sincerely appreciate all of you taking the time to stop and say thank you. :)

You act like the whole DCC is run around you.
Purdman, thank you for this little snippet in your rant against me and the posted deadline for room payment. This ended up providing many of us with hours of laughter and jokes. In the end, we (unofficially of course) changed the room name to "Pikeville". There was a chalkboard in the room and written on it was "It's all about Timberly", and most AZ-1P folks and even a few not involved were made aware that their DCC experience was "all about Timberly". :D

Steve Lomako, thank you for being a good friend and "getting it" when it comes to me. :)

Williebetmore, thank you for your support and I apologize for the drama that's ensued because I was involved. I really just wanted to run a raffle in support of the room and have a deadline for payment before the holidays. Had I known then that a simple, genuine effort would've turned into the fiasco that it did, I wouldn't have participated and would've saved you the headache of all the ensuing BS. You've got the patience of a saint and I apologize for the headache that my simply being involved has caused you.

The internet forums have provided a great place for people to not only get to meet other fans with the same love of pool, but it also provides us with a way to get to know the vendors, promoters, and over all movers and shakers in the pool world. Most of these people can be found at the DCC and even though I "knew" some of them online, the DCC provided me with a place to meet these people in person. One of those is Tom Gerhart... Tom, I hated to see you guys leave so early! Those nights hanging out at the long table in the bar were a lot of fun!

A special thanks to all the forum members that came through with their promises to buy me a beer. KtownD, you ended up running Fred & I out of the bar... LOL, we couldn't drink anymore!! It was a pleasure meeting you. Thanks for the rounds!

Fred, it was a pleasure hanging out with you all week. LOL, I especially liked the autograph signing sessions. :D

Hal, thank you for your company, sharing your beer, and especially coming to my rescue on Sat with the booth. ;)

To everyone I met in the room...some I remember your screen name, others I remember your real name.... there's too many to list... It was a pleasure meeting all of you and I enjoyed the little bit of time I got to spend in the room with you guys.

Paul & Benny, I hope to see you guys again next yr. Most came & went through out the week but you guys were there for the whole thing and you're both very nice folks that were nothing but kind to me. Thank you.

Before Derby and all during Derby, Greg Sullivan always made a point to say "thank you" for the help with everything from answering questions on the forum to all that we did to promote the room. He was genuinely appreciative of everything that all of us here on the forums do to help him and support the tournament. Greg, your appreciation and conscious effort to show that appreciation are just some of the things about you that make you so well liked and respected by many. Thank you.

Mark, there were a couple of times where we got to sit down and talk... LOL, I sure am glad you brought up our initial meeting so that I could dispell your misunderstanding of my initial reaction. :p Thank you for making it a point to introduce me to Stormy... she's a very neat lady and I hope our paths cross again someday.

RickS, it was so nice to FINALLY meet you. I had a great time that Friday night at the bar and hopefully we can do it again next yr. I promise to email you this week to get the pics. Thanks again for taking them.

SteveL, because of my thumb I never even got my cue case out of the box it was shipped in. I'm DEFINITELY going to get that tip put on at Valley Forge! I'm looking forward to seeing you there and getting an update on Sherry. ;)

Alice, next yr I want a rematch... I promise to not use a claw bridge and I'm going to be sure to be sober! Yours truly, the claw bridge lady.

Everyone mentioned above and some that I know I'm forgetting (sorry) are a big reason for my having such a great time this yr at Derby. I hope to see all of you and more next yr.

Marissa Y. & Chuck B. I wasn't in the room when you guys were playing pool but I was told by many that you both played... neither one of you paid... maybe you'll find it in your hearts to make it right (by the other members that did pay) and you'll pay double next yr to make up for it.

Here's a few pics...Even though I don't like (me) in very many of them, I'm still going to share. (I'm in all of them because it was my camera, and as we all now know... it was all about me). :D

Willie, don't you know that you're not supposed to blink when someone has a camera in front of you and ready to go? Are you and Sarah Rousey related? :D Willie, Fred, Steve, & myself at the Hall of Fame dinner. (Thank you Steve Booth... we had a great time that night.)

LOL, the night we sat in the tournament room watching the mini tournament until 6am was my "worst" night as far as drinking. I didn't have to open the booth the next day so knowing I would be able to sleep in, I took full advantage... I did a rough estimate of the number of beers I had over the course of 12 to 14 hrs... I came up with roughly 15.

I was wondering who in the heck you were. I like your style & sense of humor... I'm looking forward to officially meeting you next yr.

As for playing a few games... if you're so inclined, you can give some money to the folks that organize the room next yr. Personally, I wouldn't sweat a few games at 6AM... it's the people that played a lot and during times when other paying members were there waiting to play. ;)

I'm gonna have to need you to give me a written commitment that I can get a fourth of the neckrub that Brian got! Put the massage lady out of business!

And me and Davids late 1 pocket game was on him, I think I got to shoot 4 times in 5 games, he really does play about a ball or 2 under Alex. :)

LOL, are you sure that was me?!?!? I remember sitting in the tournament room watching the mini and I even wandered over to hit a few balls with Alice but that's all I remember.... then again, I did have 15 beers! I do know that I passed on an invitation to breakfast but as I was on my way to the elevator I could smell the bacon from the restaurant so I proceeded to stuff my face with bacon & hash browns... then went upstairs and crashed... LOL, things like that do wonders for my girlish figure.

I knew I would forget people and things so I might be popping in to add to this here and there...

I wanted to extend a special thank you to mthornton. He was very active in the room this yr and took the time to tape most of us shooting pool and then took more time to upload them all onto you tube for all of us to enjoy. A big, big thanks to you mthornton. :)

Well, feel free to comment on my current videos and future ones on youtube! Make an account!

EEK! You can tell it was late when I made my post because I totally spaced mentionnig Dave & Darren. Two gents from across the pond that are genuine, nice guys. I really hope you guys go next yr, and be sure to bring more friends... the more the merrier! Dave, next yr we can sing hang on sloopy again. :D

Also Dave, I did a little bit of research... I was NOT the one that gave you the hard time on your 3rd post. In my research, I found that I never gave you a hard time. I'm thinking that at the time you simply disagreed with my opinions on the matter (to which you've since admitted I was right), but I felt it important to let you know that you were mistaken... I was never unkind to you. ;)

Another person that I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time with but very much enjoyed the time I spent with them, was Jay Helfert. Jay has a nice smile, twinkling eyes, and a good sense of humor. Jay, it was my pleasure to finally meet you.

Well Timberly, you obviously didn't see my apology. Thats to bad girl. I had a bad day and was a little annoyed. I apologized and moved on. You don't seem to be able to do so. I will repeat it for you now. I had a bad day. I was getting annoyed with all the exclusion stuff along with your attitude. I realize you were frustrated with the moneys not coming in on time and all the questions. Once again I offor my apologies for the mean spirited post I made. I hope you can forgive me. I am also very happy you had a wonderful time. I do not know what else to tell you or our Az brothers and sisters. I hope we can put this behind us and become friends .
Sincerely, Purdman:cool:

Hi Timberly,

Dave here Darrens manager. It was great to meet you and all the other AZ members at the DCC.

I am sure we will be back next year, the tournament/action etc was everything we were lead to believe it would be. As you know we had a really bad start to the week losing some big matches and things were looking bleak for us.

Thankfully we recovered well in the last few days qne managed to leave with a smile on our faces. The action and tournaments were really tough, the match between Darren and Shane produced some of the best 8 ball I have seen particularly when you bear in mind they were playing for over 12 hours. Well played to Shane. As I mentioned if you want another game you got it if Bustamante can break for Darren:)

In summary, we had a great time and will definately be back.

Timberly do you always have to be right?

T-girl,
Your apology is NOT accepted (as no apology is necessary, I'm sending it back). Many thanks from all of us who enjoyed the room because of your efforts. It was DEFINITELY the best year yet; and you have done a great job in seeing it through; and also in making sure we are on sound footing for the future.

Any players who purposely played without paying should feel free to pay now; I'm not sure we want "abuser's of the system" back even at double the cost. I don't know the specifics; but if payment was promised and not delivered, then those people should make amends soon (our grace period expires soon). We understand if there was some confusion; but DO THE RIGHT THING (or is it THANG???).

As far as blinking during photo's; I must point out that besides being the least photogenic person on the planet, I do have trouble keeping my eyes open for the 7 or 8 minutes required by these new fangled digital camera pieces of cr@p. I may have been drinking as well.

P.S. - Where in the hell are the photo's of the now famous (?infamous?) "claw bridge"? We want to see it.

I think the appropriate answer to this is... "DUH!" :D

Yet another person I failed to mention that I wanted to say thank you to is BANKONIT. Awhile back he bought a box of business cards with the az logo on it and some clear card holders with a pin on the back so that they could be worn as name tags. BANKONIT was using these when he went to pool functions so that other az members there would be able recognize him... he put his screen name in the blank part of the card.

When the original plan to get ID badges with our photo's & screen name (like the player badges) from the DCC fell through, BANKONIT stepped up and allowed us to use his cards & card holders (at his expense, he wouldn't allow me to pay him from the room funds). He even went so far as to order a new box with a larger logo header because he thought the first batch was too small.

BANKONIT, thank you for your generous contribution... I know the cards and holders were not cheap. Your participation and contribution for the betterment of the room is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks Tims,
