My Fargorate progression

So, what I'm hearing is...if I buy a diamond, ask the installer to just fk my sht up?🤣🤣
Yeah, it's so funny. When I first played on this table a year ago, I said to myself this is the best diamond I ever played on (due to the little bounce). Fast forward a year, I think I'd rather have fast cloth with the bounce, than loose as pudding cloth this table has with small bounce. ha ha.

The club is going to bring in a very good tech to redo the tables soon. The guy that did these was a complete bum. He even got glue over the shim leveling screw heads. I mean huge thick blobs over each one of them, that me and a couple guys had to scrape off spending about 5 min each screw in order to get a wrench on each shim screw to improve the leveling job the hack did.

I'm a 610!

Just kidding. This is NOT photoshopped. There is some sort of glitch where the new DigitalPool iOS app will pick up the rating and robustness of a player near you. No BS, it happened to me twice in 2 week's time. I did email DigitalPool support and they said they fixed it. Fun glitch:)

I finally broke my downward streak and climbed 4 points to 568. I played an open event, and won! I played super good, and beat the best players there. I had a 681 performance rating, my highest ever. It was an open event, no spots, and limited to 24 players, first come first served. It filled up in a couple days, so had a wide range of skills. Best by FargoRate was 620. My favorite moment was actually beating Rachel. We've played a ton of challenge matches over the past year, but this was the first tournament match, and first one in our FargoRate match history. I went undefeated, beating her once in the hotseat and the 620 twice, including in the final. It was a good payday, I won $500 for first and $400 for the side pot. Afterwards, I got in action for $100 and was down 6-2 on a race to 7. I jokingly asked if I can have Rachel take my place. The opponent said yes. So she took my place and got it to hill-hill. Then I say backup double up. He says yes. She wins. Then they play again, she wins. So she wins $400 taking my place, and we split it. ha ha. It was a good night!

I wonder if your decline had anything to do with you being a tournament director. I used to find that distracting.
Could very well be.

And the streaming matches I did were tough to stream and play. I did one 2 weeks ago where 2 friends played and I just sat and watched and manned the computer. I felt so relaxed. Whereas when I was playing I was always worried the stream was bad.

<=== built in excuses;)

I just got back to Atlanta after 4 months in Philly. I'm at a new location, and it's a 5 min drive from Mr Cues 2, the best room in the area. They have a lunch special, open (11:30 am) till 3:00 is free pool with lunch. I've been there 3 days in a row, 3.5 hrs each day. I think I'm going to do this every day, really get in stroke. They have all 9' GC's, and after 4 months on Diamonds, holy shit you need a stroke to move the ball around.

They also just put in 6 7' Diamonds, which is perfect so I can practice 10 ball for the Vegas event at the end of Jan.

Great night at the office!

The Vegas event currently is doing a 675 and under 1k entry. Matches start tonight. I just saw the auction (completed yesterday) and Tony Ruberto, FL, 650, is in it. He went for $340 in auction. (25k total).

I’m thinking to myself is this the low level pro from NY?!?! (*Edit, from Boston not NY). I’d put him at 745 range 20 years ago. I watched him beat the shit out of Eddie Abraham in Philly 20 years ago with my own eyes, and I was betting on Eddie.

I look at all his history, and it’s all league bs in Florida for years. Then it has about 10 years of nothing. Then the very early matches are him from 2007 beating/barely losing to top pros of the time such as Alex P, Charlie Williams, Corey D, etc.

Either he snuck in, or it’s a different Tony from FL that had his matches mixed up with the NY Tony that was legit low level pro speed, or he legit lost 100 points in skill which I find about impossible at his age unless he had some sort of accident.

I wish I paid attention to that auction now I would have bid on him. Ha ha.

I think it's a different person from MA (facebook says graduated HS in 1998) who plays about 650 speed. I think you are right the other Tony's old matches are in his record, but those games are basically ignored and have no effect on this guys rating.
