My first custom cue

Hello!
I am new to the forum, but a player for 25+ years.
I recently decided to move to a custom built cue. After MUCH internet research I was pleased to find that there was a builder right here in Cincinnati- Dickie Neighbors. I had unkowingly had him do cue work for me in the past (through some billiard houses) and went to his shop to have my ancient Meucci shaft conditioned. WHAT A GREAT GUY!!!
After the beyond fabulous job he did on my current cue (while I waited) he showed me some of his custom cues. It was a no-brainer! I ordered a cue from him on the spot! I anxiously await to receive it (7 weeks from now). I was floored by how nice, flexible and collaborative Dick was. In just a few minutes we had designed a basic, but beautiful Merry Widow in Curly Maple stained Emerald Green with Malachite Diamonds set in contrasting wood windows. Black Phenolic radial joint and butt cap, 'railroad' trim rings. It will be 1" over standard length, 19oz and 13mm taper. The price? I won't even say because its too low to believe.
I can't wait!!
I strongly suggest you consider Dickie for repairs or custom build. You will likely not find a nicer guy and his work is impeccable. A true craftsman.

Question

Sounds interesting. What wood will be used for the contrasing wood windows? Will it just be Curly or some other wood? I am getting where I like Curly Maple quite a bit. It gives many cues a real nice look.
