G210C3 aka June 2024 Cue Of The Month

After selling my Lucky cue (I know, made by McDermott, but I'm not counting it), I wanted a decent butt for my inFUZEd Kielwood shaft and, since it's a 3/8x10, McDermott was a natural place to look. Frankly, there's not a lot of options in McDermott's styling that appeal to me, but this one stood out because I love the color scheme & simple design, plus I was happy that it came with a 12.25mm G-Core shaft. I don't know if I'll like the shaft, a few seem critical of it, but it's in a size I really like. Despite my recent beautiful custom from Sawdust I just received, I'm pretty excited about this cue. I just hope it plays well. It's 19.1oz and feels very well balanced, so I'm very optimistic.

After spending a few hours with it so far, I can definitely say that I like the G-Core shaft, a lot. Possibly even better than the Kielwood hybrid, but they are too close to call at the moment (I should also mention that I really like the cue as a whole. A great shooter!).

With the G-Core, it offers a nice crisp hit, which I like. The hit is less crisp with the PureX, but still quite nice. Balance is superb with both. I really enjoyed swapping back & forth between them. I also really enjoyed swapping between the McDermott & the Sawdust. Again, pretty evenly matched as players, but distinctly different feels. There's no doubt you are playing with a full CF shaft on the Sawdust vs a more natural feel with the McDermott. Much more testing to come.

One correction: Lucky cues are 'sold' by McDermott but they are made in China. Your new wand is pretty cool.
