I received my STL-3 a couple of days ago and so far I have been very pleased with it. I like the feel as the balance is neutral to slightly forward and it's easy to move the ball around the table with little effort. The quality of this cue is top-notch. The only thing I don't like is the amount of deflection when using side spin. I have another cue with a Predator shaft that plays better. So, it looks like I'll be searching for a Predator shaft for my new Schon.
 
I love my Schon (also my first). :)

Might I suggest you give that OB-1 shaft a looksee over the Predator. I like it better.
 
Predator shaft

If you decide you want a Predator shaft, I have several that are lightly used, straight, and in great condition. I can let you have one for $125 shipped, and it has the silver ring, etc.

Sorry...the Predators are all 5/16x14.

I do have a Tiger-x shaft and an Annie-O laminated shaft that are 3/8x10 with black collar with silver ring.

Schon cues are excellent cues. I've owned two and consider them to be two of the best cues I have owned to date.
 
I had a Schon cue and I think they are real nice cues. I have always preferred Joss cues over Schon though. JMO. Great cue for the price.
 
I also recently got a Schon STL 8. I love the way it plays. I am also using a 314-2 on it. Solid hit, and great feedback.
