My grandson

My first grandson is 22 months right now. He has watched me and his dad play pool in my house since he was 10 months old. His dad was in Afghanistan the first 10 months of his young life. This kid lives for "po balls"! We cannot play when he is here. He just literally pulled balls out of pockets and tossed them across the felt for nearly 3 hours straight! He must of said "pockets" 300 times during that time! He doesn't quit! He says "so close" when he misses. he has learned to "roll" the balls and be "easy". He has to reach into the pockets with one hand and literally pull himself off the floor to reach the balls. And he knows when the cover is on the table, he cannot play. So proud of him and my family, especially during this Christmas season, I hope all can find time to enjoy theirs as well.

Very cool. But, just a side note, teach him how to "throw" them as well as it pays a LOT better ;)

and nothing wrong with being a 2 sport superstar ;)

Good for you! My son is really getting more and more interested in the game lately. I'm glad that he is most of the way through with his engineering degree prior to getting completely hooked. About one year left and hopefully I can use pool as a vehicle to have more regular quality time with him. It's awesome even at just a few times a month. Enjoy mentoring your cute little grandson!

Is that an airtractor?

My daughter just turned 6, we have been working on her pool game since she was this age. Don't waste a penny on those kid's cues people sell, they have never been good. The best I have found is to get a cheap house cue and cut it down. I usually would measure from the ground to her chin. She has gone through a few over the years. She used to stand on a crate, now she can see over the table and shoot without one.

I let all my grandkids play, they have to take their turn, not allowed near the table when they are not playing, except in a seat to watch {they never do that} they usually go upstairs till it is their turn.
They know the rules, if they break one, they lose their turn, if they go crazy with the cues or balls, they are done for the day.
They all do great unless I let them get too tired, it's my job to see that doesn't happen!
