My Humble Start...

Wow! Sounds like you already had a busy first six months, and hardly let up after that! Particularly like the Bautistas, the Celtic being a true monster that exceptionally, I really, really like (fancy cues tend to be too busy on my old eyes, tend to prefer simplicity). All the best to you and your fresh start into this wonderful hobby! Cheers!

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

I got the Kikel from Don in a trade deal, kept the cue for about a year and one-half, and moved it to Clint. I love the way the cue looks and plays. Enjoy it!!!!

Very nice KQ. I have one of his early Purple Heart Sneaky Petes and just LOVE the way his cues play. If you ever are in need to sell, let me know. I am quite partial to Purple Heart in its beauty and playability. BTW, my friend who frequents these forums recently received his Al Bautista and it is a fantastic player. His isn't quite as ellaborate as yours, but has a similar butterfly design in the buttsleeve and forearm of the cue. Fantastic start to your collection! My next purchase...maybe next year...will be a Cognoscenti PJ and something made by Prewitt or James White. Of course, need some time to save up since I recently had my first custom cue made by Wayne Holmes prior to his retirement! Enjoy!

Good afternoon Chris! Congrats on the Holmes...and thanks for the compliments. I too love the "feel" of PH. It seems to have the density of ebony but with a more crisp hit...subjective I know, but that's what comes to mind when I think of PH anyway...

Appreciate your comments gentlemen...

Thank you very much David!! Your comment was/is the desired effect I was looking for in this cue. I wanted the wood to be the main focus and the silverwork secondary in the design. I believe it blends together very well and is somewhat subtle...and understated...yet elegant too...again thank you!
