Hello my name is Justin, I am a transplant to California from Indiana. I have been playing pool for over 20 years, I have played in APA leagues for both 8 and 9 ball, as well as local traveling leagues and in house bar leagues over the years but I don't play in any leagues any more as I grew tired of the politics and childish behavior of some of the other league members and staff.
I also enjoy playing darts, and have played in dart leagues both in singles and doubles but gave that up when I started to have some shoulder issues and now just play at my local watering hole from time to time.
Currently my main job is working as a motorcycle mechanic and as a hobby I work on pool tables for friends and family members. To be honest I am at a point in my life where I am considering a career change as I really don't like getting greasy any more and I just don't have the same passion, drive, and dedication to the power sports industry that I once had which I feel is unfair to my customers.
I have found that I really enjoy the technical aspect of working on pool tables and striving to do the best job I can when a friend asks me to do something to them. I love watching friends make the first break or first shot on a table that I just finished working on rather that be just recovering the table or going through the entire process from setup to recovering, As such I have seriously considered finding a local table mechanic to apprentice with to see if it would be a career path I would continue to like to pursue.
Well that's pretty much my story if you have any questions feel free to ask. Sorry about the novel for a first post but I figured I would be as thorough as possible.
