My Jet 1340 just arrived

So, I picked up this Jet1340 Bdb1340A from my machinist. It's a belt driven lathe but in my humble opinion much smoother and quiet than a gear head.
I am super happy with it.

I have the same model lathe. I wish I had gotten a gear drive instead. It is a pain opening the hood to change belt positions in order to change speeds for different operations, particularly when you are working on something that you can't afford to get dirty.

They are probably smoother than a gear drive.
