EK Price

I have three EK Series McDermott cues and follow the sales whenever possible. The prices are obviously down from a couple years ago, but the EK-4 with two shafts should sell for approx. $400. With one shaft I have seen them in the $200-325 range depending on condition.
For those who have not played with the stainless piloted 5/16-14 joint on McD's you will be pleasantly surprised at the feedback. These are my favorites for play and they look good too.

Hmmm...

Well I have to chime in and be the horrible person bringing news..

You would be lucky to get 225-250 for it WITH the two shafts.

You need to find a MCD collector that is into that series for the best price.

Good luck w/ it.

Felix

The photo that I posted is an old Mcdermott photo.
They have my cue now, making me an I-2 shaft.
I have three other shafts for it now, in varios MM sizes, starting at 12.75 MM and down.

I can post photos when I get it back, but the photo posted is very close.

I also have the original Masterpiece hard tube case for it (grey on color).

There are two versions of the EK cues. The first line of cues had the old 3/8-16 weight bolt system with a screw in bumper. The last cues out of the factory had the newer system with the push in bumper. I will buy them all day long for the prices mentioned above. Currently looking for EK-4's and EK-5's. I was lucky enough to buy some of the last cues made, and they all had intense pieces of birdseye in the forearm.

EK-3 Birdseye

Will try to post the forearm of an EK-3. I always liked the figuring.

My EK-4 is the first, or earlier version.
It has a screw holding the bumper in place.

I hope to have it back from McDermott in a couple of weeks.

My EK4

I have not played with it since I got it back from McDermott.
I have the 2 original shafts, 1 replacement shaft and an I shafts that has not been played.

Make an offer and a method of payment. I do not have a way of accepting credit cards and will have to talk to Pay Pal, to figure out how to get paid using that method.

If you are within driving distance to Galesburg, IL we could make arrangements.
