My meager "collection"

I came back to the game in 2010 after a long layoff. I took the LD plunge and fairly quickly decided it wasn't for me. I decided to return to what I was familiar with.
Like a golfer seeking the perfect driver, I dabbled in buying and selling cues. I certainly don't do it for the $$.
I don't fancy myself a collector, thus I hesitate to call this a collection. I keep most of these cues because I enjoy playing with them and enjoy looking at them. I find fine craftsmanship fascinating. I envy those with the talents to make these.

From L to R:
EM sneaky (FS), Libra merry widow, Esoteric horseshoe cue, Sly thuya and maple, Sly bacote sneaky, Barnhart bacote, Barnhart BEM, Barnhart 4-pointer, fancy Prather, Mezz (FS), Zac, Brick 5-pointer with 5 windows (FS), -R-, Schon, McDaniel, Lambros, PFD, PFD
In the background, all FS: unknown sneaky, Norwela sneaky, Adrian Viguera sneaky
Farther back: Melton 2x4 and JB 4x8

So I removed the original image. There is a group shot in the next post by me. After that, I edited a post and added a new attempt at cue photog. I'm getting there but still plan to tweak my methods.

If anyone would care to tell me how to best format pics before posting, I'll repost the first image and then some close ups. The original high resolution pics are nice!

Wow!!

Sheees!!!!

How many of you guys got a shock when you opened this post? :p
I expected to see 3 or 4 cues... :D
Congrats !!
And thanks for sharing/posting..

" That certainly IS a COLLECTION" ... :groucho:

Cues

I wish like each picture had three or four cues only. It's so far away I can't tell what anything is ? Us old farts with bad eyes. LOL !

A different perspective.

Tighter shots.......

Edit 04/23/2014:

The collection has evolved despite my best effort to be anything but a collector. Here's one tight shot. I think I can improve the images, so I'll be reshooting in themed groups or singles.

nice group of cues:thumbup:
wonder how many cues you will have if you get serious??

I'm trying to quit...but have two more and a case on the way. In my defense, one cue on the way was started by Leon Sly a while back. I have no explanation for the others!

As far as playing goes, I was leaning toward the McDaniel before I bought the Libra. From the moment I tried the Libra, I played well with it. The cue ball seemed to go right where intended with little effort on my part, and the object ball also ends up where where it should go. I picked up the Schon as a backup to the McDaniel, and I may still carry the pair.
I still have great fondness for anything by Barnhart, and I shoot with confidence with his cues.
I also would not hesitate to shoot with the PFDs and the Esoteric. Same goes for every Sly cue I've tried. The wrapless thuya/maple Sly is as pretty as anything I've seen and plays fantatstic.
And oddly enough, the EM sneaky is as good a playing cue as any of them.
What I find interesting is that I like shooting with cues that seem to be very different. I think the one thing they have in common is a high quality build.
I left my break cue out of the pictures, but it may be the most permanent part of the collection. It is a dymondwood jump/break by Brick. It has the lizard wrap and ringwork. Simply put, it's amazing.
Oh, and the Lambros plays like it should. Don't think for a second that I wouldn't shoot with it.
