I guess I'm going to show my ignorance here. All I can see from the photos is that his linen spirals the opposite way down the cue than ours. Barry wraps his cues from the sleeve to the A joint? Or wraps them with the lathe in reverse?

Interesting. Details details. You learn something new everyday.

I'm assuming Gus did it this way as well? Do any other cuemakers do it this? I'm just curious.

I have only seen that type of nose ring dash and small square design on another cue. My friend Ron Vitello's Szamboti had that same design pattern. The butt cap was also the same as Ron's cue. So! I say Szamboti.
