My New Bob Dzuricky...

I did a lot of research to look for a good custom cue at (to me) a reasonable price. It seems that Bob Dzuricky came up quite often. Well, I decided to go with him to make my first custom cue. I wanted something very simple and plain, but super nice. I decided on Tulipwood as my wood of choice because I liked how it looked. Here is the end result. I don't have the cue in my possession yet, but as soon as I return from my deployment to Pakistan, I will be able to play with it for the first time! Thanks ahead of time Bob!

Very nice cue...as I also have a plain tulipwood cue that plays really nice. I think it will be a BIG difference going from that Meucci to a custom, but my advice is to be patient with yourself and it will be very rewarding.

Nice cue and thanks for sharing!

Oh, sure, Shorty. You don't like pink ivory, but do like tulipwood?!?!? lol

Very nice cue. I love the way a nice piece of tulipwood "pops" when it's finished right. Nice job, Bob DZ.

What's happening on the photo? Is this put on a scanner? There's distortion where the cue would be laying on the scanner (if it's on a scanner, that is).

Fred, isn't that just the lighting reflection (if I see what you are talking about)?

Very nice, simple cue. It has just enough highlights to accent the wood, and he used a really nice piece of Tulipwood. I agree with Shorty...the cue will hit very differently than the Meucci, but I think you will be very pleased in the end. Nothing looks better in a cue than the simple beauty of a nice piece of wood.

Keep safe in Pakistan. These are trying times, especially for those of you who do the really tough jobs. Sometimes we tend to take things for granted here in the states......

ok

it's ok Shorty...you don't have to miss me. just want all to know, I've been going through a really hard time lately, which is why I've said what I have. I'm even going through a divorce now  because my wife decided to go and get a boyfriend. oh well...all is better this way, and so am I. to all I've irritated...I'm sorry for what I've said, but I've been going through hell recently. things will be back to normal soon though. to my "friends", thanks for bearing with me in my time of need. I appreciate it.

great looking cue! you should like it imo.

All, thank you for the kind words. I have a good feeling that going to this custom cue will be a much needed change, but a good one. I am just amazed at how the wood turned out. I have seen tulipwood cues before, but this one blows me away! I will let you all know how it hits when I return! Thanks again!
