My new cue, made by our resident Dead sexy cuemaker :p . Birdeye maple/cocobolo + black/white/orange/white veneers. Everything else white on it is ivory :D 3/8-10 titanium pin, piloted joint, brown leather wrap.
I LOVE this cue! Thank you, Murray.

And a nice new case to store this cue in..an old McDemorrt brown lizard case.

Thanks for the compliment roger. :)

Early bird? Try 2001! Actually, I was supposed to get my cue at the end of 2002, but Tucker had an accident with it. I guess good things do come to those who wait. :D

You placed an order with Tucker too? What kind of design?

Let me tell you.. from someone that *thinks* he knows lol....

Murreys veneers are better than a few people that have 15 years plus,
better than some people who for the price of their cues, you would expect a hell of a lot better.. and if I was rating veneer work on a scale of 1-10.. he would be an 8+ / 9.

Does anybody here know where Eddie lives?
I'm gonna burglarized his house.
Eddie that is just sooooo pretty. I bet it hits a ton as well.
MT, you da man.

awesome cue. I emailed murray a few weeks ago about an order and he said he isnt taking anymore orders for a while. Very disappointed :( He did say that if he decides to take some orders he'll keep in touch.

Lucky Dog!!!

Hey Eddie,

Some ugly cue you just got there. I'm sure it hits terribly too!! I'll do you a favor by buying it from you :D

Seriously though, I'm jealous. Drop me a collect call if you ever want to donate that cue to a worthy cause.......

Hi Joey,
How could you not know where I live? Then how are you going to send me the cues you are making for me? :D Tell you what, you can personally hand carry my cues and Dennis's cues over when it's complete..that'll give you a chance to burglarize my house :p Only that my cues aren't at home..hehehe They are stored in my shop where it's 24/7 airconditioned and dry. Maybe you should send that curly koa over to my shop..it might dry faster. :D

Dam that is a hot q ......Cani get one like that ???????

It is indeed a very nice cue and I even had the chance of taking a few shots with it. Really like the hit. Such a pity that Mr M.Tucker is not taking any more orders. :(

The only fortunate part is that I can get to see the cue whenever I drop by Eddie's shop.

I guess if Eddie were to sell it, I would be the first one to buy it off him then since we are in the same country! :D

just wanted to say that is a gorgeous cue and it is a crying shame that murray is considering giving up making cues as his work is super.....havent heard anything bad about him or his cues.....i also tried to late to order a cue......such a waste of a great talent to deprive the cue world of what he would really be capable of doing if let go to just go balls to the walls and builod some smithsonian cues......murray i will miss not having a chance to get a cue and i hope you find happiness no matter what you decide, just know you are admired by alot of people and not just players and collectors but also some of us guys that want to be where you are at......super nice cue again......take care all, juston

How come he not make cue no more?

I'm still making cues. I'm just not taking orders for new ones. I had planed on retiring from making cues as soon as my backlog was gone but I'm not sure I can quit cold turkey. Especially when I see a thread like this. My plans right now are to make a limited number of cues per year. Most of them are going to be fancy "sneaky pete" style cues using very high grade woods in some unusual combinations. I have a large business to run and that takes a lot of my time and energy. Right now I am building cues because I want to not because I have to and I am happy with it that way.

who would you rate higher?

I'm sorry Murray, but I believe I have to share such a beautiful cue with everyone here :D Everyone here likes your cues, and I'm just so thankful that I didn't procrasinate in contacting you back then. I know you have a business, a family and many corvettes to take care off..maybe if they pay for your cues with corvettes, you might consider reopening your orders? :p
