I took these with my phone, so I'll get some new (better) pictures on my camera.
Let me know honest opinions. I know I need to show the whole cue, but I can't get the lighting right. I've been told it's "gawgy"...
Wow! I am biased to wrapless cues so I have to say congratulations on owning this beauty. I'm not sure who the actual maker is, but kudos to him as well for an amazingly cue made. Everything about your cue speaks my language, enjoy it as I'm sure you will and say nighty night to your Meucci cause I'm sure it'll be put to sleep for a very long time.
Thanks for sharing your new found love with us.
Best,
Mo
My old cue will not rest yet. I am still breaking with it until I can find a unique, one of a kind break cue. Thanks for the kinds words!
I've never hit with a cue like it. I absolutely love it. I get so much more action on the cue ball. The feedback is amazing. Take that with a grain of salt though, because I've only hit with a handful of custom cues. That being said, it feels better than any of them. It's probably going to take some time for me to adjust to it since I've played with a Meucci for the last five years. The cue ball goes right where I aim... guess that's why I missed a lot of shots tonight (Meucci players probably know what i'm talking about)
I'm new to custom cues and, since I ordered the cue, I've been looking at all of the amazing cues on this forum. I can see the draw of classically deigned cues, like some of yours skierlawer. But the way that my cue is designed (hard for me to think of it as mine still) is awesome. Each individual part of the cue is so figured and stunning that I feel like it's hard for me to take the whole thing in. That's probably why I posted the closeups first.
Being able to combine highly figured woods is as much an art as the construction is. Luckily for me, I got both. It is a piece of art in the choice of woods (I picked two), the way they are put together, the veneer colors, the inlays...the construction looks flawless, and it plays amazing. I am so grateful that I own it. Dave is an amazing cuemaker.
I'm just worried I'm going to damage it.
beautiful cue
what are the woods and cue maker??
As I was reading through the thread, I was really hoping you weren't going to disclose who the maker was right off the bat...I wanted to see if comments would be made with regards to the aesthetics...
