Hey guys,

Ordered this cue Tuesday morning, received it today. I played with this cue for a few hours at the poolhall today and myyy gooddddd.... I love this piece of work.

I was playing with a Dufferin 19 oz house cue, and upgraded to this PureX HXT30 - and the differences are quite noticeable.

Namely, the cue ball does what I actually want it to do. With the Dufferin, I got little to no English off rails, but good draw. With this cue, I get superb English, and my positional play is mountains better than what it was before.

I am in love lol

Have fun!

Freddie <~~~ may the odds be forever in your favor

Really nice cue! What a coincidence, I picked the same one out for one of my friend a couple months ago and he loves it. And it comes with a Kamui Black medium tip on it so you really can't go wrong with that price. May the rolls be with you and enjoy your cue!

If you love it - I love it

I see you finally got your cue and you dad figured out how to order from the phone (assuming this is the same person who made that other post). Congrats on the new cue!

i have heard a lot of good things about Players cues.
Now here is my theory.
they are made in the same factory as Lucasi cues.My Lucasi plays just great.
So I'm wondering if the Players which are cheaper and the Lucasi that are more expensive have basically the same construction and the Lucasi costs more because of the company that owns the name puts a bigger mark up on them.
And I'm just talking about the cues that are similar in design. I know the Lucasi line gos up in price above the Players as they get fancier.
Anyway nice cue you have. Enjoy it.
Sure beats the old Walabuskas.

Great cue, I'm glad you finally got it. I hope you continue to play well with it & enjoy it for quite some time.

Thanks guys =)

Anybody know on average how long Kamui Black Soft Tips last?

I've heard years, a year, etc.

They can last for a year or so depending on how often you shape your tip. Although it may last longer you may want to change it out after a year.

Congrats on the new cue! You'll really enjoy Player's; lots of cue for the money.

The tip can last for years if you're not aggressive in shaping/scuffing it. For the last six months I've been using a Kamui Gator Grip to scuff tips. A lot of folks put it down because it costs $30 (Kamui is at the highend price on everything) but it does a great job of scuffing the tip without removing any material. It will be worth it in the long run.

I went through two Kamui Black Soft tips, each one lasted at least a year. Once you get it shaped the way you want, it holds pretty well. It will harden as the months pass, but that's not necessarily a bad thing!

Nice players cue indeed!

I picked up a new stick myself - a stone cold sneaky pete made by Mike Yingling (may he rest in peace) - Mike bought a 12 stick lot from someone that was selling off one piece house cues stamped with "West Coast Series" on them and he just cut them in half and sunk a piloted Schon pin and sleeve into them. You should have seen the look on my friends face when I took one of his hoighty toighty schon shafts and slipped it on this pete like a glove.... absolutely no overlap LOL. It was priceless. The Sneaky Pete cost me $95.00. Has a triangle tip on it and hits like short-changed pimp.

Enjoy the stick my friend,

Lesh
