My New Diamond Professional!

that table will break better for sure.

his old table only a made ball on the break maybe 33% of the time.
this table will do it for him a third of the time instead.

Here's some info:

I have ran out three times so far. But to be fair, I must admit, the spreads after the break are still not that good. But it's only been one day so we shall see. I have hosed up 3-4 chances to run out. Mostly because of speed. The balls roll quite a bit so sometimes my speed is a hair too much, other times a hair too little.

And I did notice the pockets are 4 5/8 as opposed to 4.75. It's all good.

Ran out three times so far ….. very nice!!!

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but in your legacy threads where you complained about the table not offering “runnable” layouts, were you describing not runnable *by you* or runnable…by anyone? HUGE difference, potentially.

Over the years when I have referred to my spreads as not runnable I would say the following percentages apply:
Not by me - 25%
Not by anyone - 75%

It's hard to distinguish between rail speed and cloth speed because they are so inter-related. At least to me they are.

Standard Simonis Green 860.

@DrCue'sProtege
first
let me congratulate you on your new table
i tease you more than alittle
but i hope you get what you paid for it
equal or more enjoyment out of it
for several weeks the new cloth will slide alot and definitely you cant make great conclusions regarding speed or rebound angle
at least thats been my experience on new cloth

I had a GC 3 installed in my new home on Friday - it looks and plays great as far as I am concerned- it is a matter of preference and also a matter of, IMO , of one’s favorite games - mine being 14.1- the GC is my choice - perhaps if it were one hole and 9/10 ball I would look at the Diamond.
Please enjoy your new table choice and congrats!

Delivery and installation is complete. I've only shot around about a minute because I am hungry and then need to run to Walmart and get some stuff so I don't have to go tomorrow. Might get to play on it later tonight.

The install took about 4.5 hours. Alot of good stories shared. Including the one about the bank robbery. Anyway, attached are some pics for verification for those that were in doubt.

I had never seen the cloth sprayed/glued before. Interesting to see that done. If you look close you can see DIAMOND engraved into the rails.

Very nice. Enjoy! 👍

Enjoy your table
I do not understand why you think a diamond would be better for OnePocket
Or any other game

Nice table, enjoy.

The GC3 had the longest production run of any of the Gold Crowns. 1977 through 1997 I believe.

Hmm; the Diamond Professional leg pedestals used to be different. I wonder why they changed that (or maybe the old type are still available, too).

There are various options for the leg pedestals if I recall correctly back when I ordered.

That ad is from 1990 something. They never updated it. Notice it says the Professional is Diamond's most popular table. I believe you can still order that leg style, and the rounded corners. I think most people order it with the legs that DCP did, and the squared off corners. It looks the best, imo, but to each their own:)
