My New Dominiak Ebony/Tulip Wood Prototype

Got this in the mail today.:)

I'd been wanting to try a Dominiak for a while, but kept losing out on the "For Sale" threads (either got beaten to it or the seller didn't want to ship to Thailand:( ) so I went direct to the cuemaker (very nice guy to deal with).

Here's my Ebony/Tulip wood (thanks to rhncue for catching the error in my original post where I called it dirty curly:cool: ) prototype with 56 wood inlays- ~19oz. with a radial pin, with two Dominator shafts with matching ring-work and joint protectors:

Certainly not a bad looking cue but where's the "Dirty Curly" at? I see plenty of ebony and Tulip Wood but other than shafts, no Maple or Curly.

You're absolutely right- I was thinking of the original cue I looked into buying- it's tulip wood alright (though it's got to have some Dirty Curly somewhere as well as that's how it was listed on their site and described to me by William Dominiak- Tulip/ebony Dirty Curly prototype- you can see the promo pic from their website if you click the Dominiak link in my sig)).:D

I gotta change the description.:o

I know this cue is kind of "out there" looks-wise and not for every taste, but I wanted something different. I was thinking about a DirtyCurly or a WD1010, but I saw this cue on the front page and went for it. It's actually quite nice looking in person- it's got 56 wood inlays.

Hey, if I want "pretty" I've got a gorgeous Gilbert (click the link in my sig).:p

I haven't hit with it yet (and won't until my house is finished and my table is delivered, which will hopefully be sometime this month), but I'd imagine it's pretty stiff with two Dominator shafts near 13mm.;)

i like the Dominator shafts.i actually just ordered a partial last week.they feel way better than the Predators.

Do you mean William Dominiak personally or Dominiak Cues in general?

Their website was just updated to include some new models, so I think they will be in business a while longer, but I don't know for sure one way or the other.

Dominiak Cues

This is a quote from their website, which was updated last week:

We've increased our cue production and Dominiak Cues is looking for a few select dealers to retail our cues and ready to play shafts. Please email or call for more details.

Here's the link to it:

It doesn't sound like they're stopping production- at least not anytime soon.
