Jim Baxter emailed today with the pics...soon these will be atop my Josey & it's shafts.

Not that I had anything to do with 'em other than write the check, but damn, they're nice!

Very nice Bud. Jimmy makes a great set of JP's for a reasonable price.
Many cue makers don't like doing them as they are very time consuming as opposed to making cues.
The same type of craftsmanship. Jim is also making leaps and bounds into the world of cue making too.
I keep bugging him to get that big steering wheel out of his hands and retire to this sort of wood working.

Jim, this might be a crazy idea, but have you ever thought of making cue tip protectors to keep chalk out of your case? Just a thought.

You mean like little Cue Condoms?
There is a girl here on AZ (CueZ) that makes them. They work well.

Yeah, a cue condom. Perfect!

LOL! Practice good birth control for chalk...love it! Actually,
I just wipe the tips down with a paper towel before placing
the cues in the case.

Now, anxiously running to the mail box every day...maybe they'll
be here tomorrow? Kind of funny, since I've lived well without
custom JP's for a long time, but now that I've seen the pics, I can't wait!

Update

They arrived in todays mail. Looking better than in the pics. Perfect match for my Josey's woods and trim...just absolutely gorgeous!

Many thanks to Jim for turning out such an excellent set of JP's...

And now Jimmy has told me that he has finally taken my advice and is going to remove that big steering wheel from his clutches and go at this full time.

Remember, more time equals more JP's, cues and a whole bunch of other goodies Jim has on the go. So get your orders in there and fill up Jim's retirement days.

Just kidding about the advice part altho I have been at him for a while now about giving up the life on the road. Jim is more like a big Dad than anything even tho we are not that far apart in age.

I sold my Freightliner a year ago and couldn't be more happy.

That's good news for the pool community.

I wish Jim every success in this new path!
