Hey all, I just wanted to share a review on my new Kenny Murrell cue. First and
foremost, Kenny was great. He went above and beyond to meet every request
that I had. I can't stress how satisfied I am with the communication we had
while the cue was being built. He was also fun to talk to. There were no quick
hangups, and the guy us just plain funny, and a blast to talk to. Now we get to
the cue. Again, every spec. that I had was fulfilled. From the exact weight, to
the diameters of the shaft, and butt. Collar length, ring thickness, Hoppe ring
thickness, etc. All of those were dead on. Overall, the fit, and finish of the cue
were perfect. The points were dead even, the 4 long, and the 4 short. I could
not see any varience whatsoever in those. The finish was deep and clear. The
Amboyna burl forarm has so much figure, it's not even funny. I love the dark
color of it too. The hit is also great. I've been a piloted s.s. joint guy for as long
as I can remember. I talked to Kenny about the Juma sleeve over s.s. for this
cue. He explained very nicely about the differences in the hit, and what I could
expect. Both in feedback, and in sound. The hit of the cue was just what I was
expecting. I love the feedback, and the sound that it makes. Both with the
original shaft, and the Predator Pre-cats that I use. If I could get used to a non
LD shaft quickly, I would switch over to the KM shaft. It hits that good. I shot
46 makes with 7 misses in league on thursday in 7 games. Three of the misses
were dry breaks. That was using it for the first time, with no warm up at all.
I am 100% satisfied with the transaction. Thank you Kenny for the best
experience that I've ever had having a cue built. I can only hope that all of my
future cue building transactions can be this good.
Thanks for reading and thanks again Kenny, Dom.
New pictures using natural light. I think these are a bit better.
