My new Schmelke cues: pic heavy

WOW. Looks GREAT. I've always said Schmelke does great work.

Just recently (2 weeks ago) they became a dealer for Magic Chalk.

So, with that being said, the first box of Magic Chalk is on the house. It will keep your new cue a lot cleaner as well ;)

Just PM your name and address.

If you like the chalk, then just buy it from Schmelke going forward

Same deal for anyone else that buys a NEW Shmelke, show your pic and I'll send out a free box of chalk from now till end of May. Could be longer but gotta see what kind of "hit" I'm gonna take first ;)

And before someone asks, yes, if you buy a Schmelke directly from Seyberts or Billiards Warehouse, same deal still applies :D

Hi. Does this deal still apply?

Here is a pic of my new Schmelke that I got today. It is a very interesting cue. It is a reverse rosewood full splice into straight maple at 17oz (butt 12.6 shaft 4.4) that has a very thin butt taper as well at 1.18 at bottom of wrap. Great balance, pretty forward. 5/16' 18 joint.I asked for a custom modified pro taper (12.6mm) based on a scaled back version of the Treadway taper, at 15 thousandths graduation at 10" and 40 at thousandths at 16". They did not get the taper right, it came with a conical taper the is 50 thousandths at 10" but the amazing thing is that it hits pretty great. It is very solid and crisp, very low deflection. With the taper it is pretty stiff but not dead feeling at all. It makes a great sound. Uses the Tomahawk ferrule material at .5" as well which is crisp and stays clean. Will call them about getting the correct shaft, but will keep the one it is has first impressions are very strong.

I did not really care about appearance much, but the cue is quite elegant and pretty. Martin at Superior Cues provided me a really nice Spanish bull leather wrap which looks and feels great.

It was an experimental cue to try and capture the magic my stolen Judd had and there is a good chance the experiment works. Off to league to fire some bullets under pressure.

Will do full review when I get the other shaft.

Why, yes, yes it does. Great looking cue. Please PM your name and address, and I will send out a box. Let me know if you want Baltic Blue or Chernobyl Green :)

This thread convinced me to pull the trigger on a couple of Schmelkes. The pictures look great!

I have a basic bocote that Middle Child picked out and that should be here in a week or two, and a rosewood with a butterfly splice that Eldest Child picked out that will be here at the end of June. Will post pics when they get here.

Blowing it. It's the 'youngest child' that knows where Dave keeps his 'private stash'

Sure the other children will do fine,

-Kat,

-Kat,

Ha! He's about to turn 6, and not quite old enough to provide insight as to what he wants for his first "grown-up" cue. Right now, he'd pick a Transformers themed cue ("Optimus Schmelke").

PM Sent been meaning to try that stuff out and I am a huge advocate of Schmelke. The cue I got was my very first "custom" that I had done.

Plan to get a matching Players from them pretty soon.

This is my Schmelke I got done that was my first custom. They make a crazy nice cue for super great price

Yep, it qualifies. Promotion runs through May, so you made it. PM your name, and address and one FREE box of Magic Chalk will be on the way.

Also, mention if you want Baltic Blue or Chernobyl Green

PM sent, uh I forgot to include blue!

Stoked!

The bocote cue arrived today, and both my daughter and I love it! It's gorgeous, and plays very well. Medium to firm hit with the Triangle tip, and it feels like a light one piece cue. I gotta say that Schmelke is about the best value cue out there. A near perfect balance of quality that won't break the bank.

I also needed to talk to David about a change to the order I made on Eldest Child's cue. What a pleasant person to deal with!
