My new Schon Elite, what do you think?

Hi everyone, I know that most of you don't feel that Schon is a true custom cue manufacturer but I just love my new schon elite. It's quite different from anything I have seen from Schon before with a ebony forearm and butt with 6 sharp cocobola points up and 8 cocobola points down with turquoise ovals at the wide part of each point ( close to the very nice leather wrap up and down) and silver rail road track rings at all locations. In talking with Evan he said he only made a couple of these and he has the other in his collection that he plays with. I am going to hit with it today!!!

Regards to all

Vee

The first 2 cues I bought were Schons. I got them in 1985. The dealer at the time told me that he thought they were as good as the Joss West that he also sold and a lot cheaper. I didn't know much about cues at the time but am glad that I have them.

I think that Schon has a less than custom rep because a lot of dealers sell them at a discount.

The question you ask is a loaded one. You ask for a opinion and that is what you will get. It reminds me of a wife asking her husband if the dress makes her look fat.

I like Schons. Nice cue. Hope it gives you a lot of years of service.

Why are you waiting to play with it. I would be knocking the balls around instead of being on the computer? (I just assume everyone has a table).

Congratulations on the new cue.
I am very much a custom cue snob now :D but I would never steer anyone away from a Schon. I've had two and loved them both.
