Which way is the 20? Both sides look the same length to me. I'm sure it's just the way the photo was taken.

Looks nice. I miss our workshop. I sure hope it doesn't take 9 months to get ours back up and going.

So, what was it the county didn't like, that made it take so long?

Congratulations. I'm sure you'll spend many a happy hour messin around out there. Everybody will know where to find you :)

the problems started with the placement. when the house was built they agreed that the logical side of the house was the front. so that means that the sides of the house are the front and back yards and the front and back of the house are the side yards. it wasn't just the county, the contractor is to blame just as much. they just wanted to fight with the county. well when you mess with the bull you get the horns. the long side is the window side. my camera is about 9 years old. but you are right it looks like a small. also missing one pic.

12X20 shop

Man your shop looks so spacious inside. I put one in also last year and it is a cluttered mess right now. I thought putting in lots of shelving cabinets would help organize things better. I need to learn organization better. Everything is where I left it the last time I used it. No little fairy comes in nights to put things away. Congratulations on the design and I am jealous of your space. Mine is a metal prefab building with 8 foot walls and 11 foot peaked roof. It is great for hanging wood on hooks over the metal studs.

Looks like you have a great start. Good luck in the future.

Gotcha! Yeah, the part of rebuilding that we aren't looking forward to is the city permits and stuff. They are so picky about every little inch. Well, I HOPE I'm just hearing rumors, but I'm not sure I am. I've got numerous estimates, from $9,000 (a do-it-yourself kit that we don't have time to do - and it's bare bones, nothing extra) up to $15,000, for a finished product, with electric insulation, inner walls, etc.. I can't wait to have it done!

I'm with cueman... I think the outside of your new workshop looks cool. Not what I would expect to see a workshop look like. I bet it is fairly soundproof, too???
