Just ignore the previous comments, they are just jealous ! :p

Great looking cue, I also like basic elegant design ! How does it hit ?

Yea I know, it wasn't the best material to lay the cue on to take pics, but it provided the best light.

Nit picking SOBs :p

It hits stiff, with good feedback.

Mike can make a cue to hit the way you want it to.

Nice...I love Purple Heart...Mike made me a purple heart and ebony alternating 6 point with tiger maple arm....The best looking combo IMO....

Mike's cues are the best looking stuff that comes out of Pawtucket :D

Great Looking

Great looking cue !!!!! I'm looking forward to placing a order with Mike one of these days.

Great cue with excellent woods. Nice work, Mr Webb.
I hope I can save enough to get a cue from you soon. :)

Watch Ebay. This cue should soon be posted by a overseas seller. The price will be so cheap that you cannot afford to pass it up. LOL

Nice cue pbat!

Just two problems I see with it...

1. It ain't mine HA HA

2. It needs a SS joint...j/k

Love the look...very well done Mr. Webb. I am starting to lean toward more simple cues myself, just be glad when I get my Schon back.

I have the same problem #1 !! ;)

Hey Shorty, have you noticed... When you first start playing pool, you admire cues with lot of inlays etc. After learning some more you start to look for certain things on cues such as good hit characteristics etc. Then after 10-20 years of experience in cues, you end up loving the simple and elegant design of basic points and veneers and how different wood colors match and how one simple ivory (Hoppe) ring on butt sleeve looks drop dead gorgeous ! Those complex designs with dozens of inlays make my eyes hurt...

Not that this was aimed at me but this is exactly how I feel. Everyone has their preferences but for me it something simple with points and veneers, and little if no inlays.
I'm having a cue built now by the guys at Viattorre and I specifically asked for no inlays. Bocote buttsleeve, tiger maple forearm with 6 bocote points with turquoise and ebony veneers. I think that's why I loved the look of your Scruggs so much. Somewhat similar.

Regards,
Dave

Thank you Shorty
I still feel that in todays constant strive and awareness of deflection that flat face into wood is the way to go. But I also offer stainless, it's just against what I personally believe.

My problem with wood to wood Mike is that it tends to wear. The threads on the shaft seem more delicate and I had a couple chip even on my Arnot Wadsworth I had for some five years. I loved this cue, but noticed one day that bits of the shaft threads had chipped off without my knowledge. It became harder and harder to get a tight fit at the joint. I guess someone was tightening it to much when putting it together, and no it was not me as I am in a wheelchair and don't have hardly near the strength to do that. I always had someone else tighten my cue for me because when I would do it, it would come loose within two shots. I also like the SS joint because it places more weight in the center of the cue, which is where I like the weight, being a one handed player. My arms are so short that I can't form a bridge out on the table with my left hand. I like a forward balanced cue thusly.

Would love to discuss perhaps having a cue made by you Mike...if you want to talk further?

I understand what your saying, the misconception about wood threads is that the shaft should be screwed together going a 1/2 turn backwards, then it sits properly. I would to build you a cue when your ready.
