My opinion on jerkoffs that lay a spread.

Some of the most intresting matches I have seen is when two lemon layers match up and not knowing of each others reputation.

It's very enjoyable to see two artists working their deceiving skills to make a buck. Each one thinking they have the upper hand. After a number of games the level of play steps up to keep up with the opposition. After a while the ego takes over and the buck is not so important. Soon both are wide open and running on all cylinders with a point to prove.

my most fondly remembered evening of pool

Looking back over decades of playing pool my fondest memory started just like that. A great road player of an era when they could fly under the radar anywhere but the biggest pool halls came into a bar I was in and we started play. He was on the stall letting me win and I was stalling not showing my speed. Just for a chuckle I left it impossible for him not to win a game without looking ridiculous. As he went to break for the next game he straightened up and called me over. We had shook hands to start and introduced ourselves but I hadn't paid any mind. He now gave his real name and suggested we both cut the crap and play pool. Turned out that we were too evenly matched to be much more than a coin flip on that night but home field advantage finally carried the day after long hours.

I think this was the closest battle I have ever fought, a great time with a good guy, and somebody that I would still say is a friend. To think it started with us both on the lemon!
