Unfortunately here in the US there is little appetite for Pool on TV from either the Networks or the general Pool playing community. Unless we can get people to watch and in numbers the networks will continue to ignore Pool. That is unlikely, at present, in the US people prefer to play rather than watch.
Everyone knew in advance what the qualifying tournaments were and the people who played the best in those over the year were on the team. Matchroom do a great job, they are a business, they have to make money to survive, giving away picks of players or the Captain makes little sense from a business perspective.
All those people knocking the Team or Matchroom do the game and those trying to promote it an injustice. To those inside the game calling for others to have been on the team or insinuating that certain players shouldn't have played I have a thought for you. Please engage your brain before your mouth or your pen!
Lets see how many support the Team in London next year.
