Have you checked the authenticity of this watch?
On the Crown their appears to be a "dash" underneath the coronet. The symbol on the crown underneath the coronet indicates the metal content of the watch.
A "line" or "dash" symbolizes Stainless Steel, while this crown appears to be yellow gold.
You should take it to an authorized dealer and verify authenticity before attempting deals on AZ. They can pop the back off and tell you in 3 minutes if you have the real deal. There are too many "excellent" fakes out there, so verification through an AD is the only way.
If you can provide verification that your watch is authentic - I will pay you $500 for an old Oyster Perpetual if everything is running properly, etc. Keep in mind that buying a new Rolex two-tone jubilee bracelet could be over a grand, plus having it serviced/cleaned by Rolex is another $500 to get it back into decent shape.
(Sorry for the edit - but didn't realize at first the band wasn't original. I should have recognized that wasn't an oyster/nor jubilee bracelet.)
Thanks!
Totally true...way too many, actually just popping the back off now wont tell you the whole story unless you are going to go deeper, they are branding movements, etc now!
Actually the Band from ROLEX is $3,500 to get it cleaned (refurbished by Rolex) was over $600 15 years ago! I have a 1955 model with the line under the crown it has the jubilee band JB 14k! You dont have to take the back off you can look up the serial #'s on the case where the band goes.I dont think the fakes have serial #'s? RonHave you checked the authenticity of this watch?
