some fun filled facts for my little buddy
Bois de rose - literally 'wood of rose' - is given the French name to prevent confusion with actual rosewood.

Color/Appearance: Heartwood color is a vibrant magenta or reddish purple,
sometimes with darker violet-black streaks. Overall color tends to darken with age to a deep purple to nearly black.
