My pride and joy. (my Ginacue)

These are pics of my personal playing cue. Ebony forearm, 8 snakewood points with a single holly veneer. Lots of ivory and silver extras. Notice the dashes in the ring work. Every other enlayed dash is silver then ivory. The wrap is from a large asian monitor lizard. This cue arrived from Ernie at this year's DCC in Louisville, Ky. I received it through a very good friend of mine, Bill Grassley at the Cornerstone booth. I was elated to say the least and was leary of making this my everday cue, but I guess you only live once. It is honestly my favorite custom cue of the 80 or so I have owned over the last 10 years.

Thanks again to both Bill and Jeff at the Cornerstone booth at Valley Forge. We had a blast and I can't wait until we do another venue, together.

Take care and God bless.

that's a beaut!!!!!!

it looks like a twist on one of his traditional cues which has rectangle windows instead of these scalloped windows. can i ask how much it cost?

yum

Gorgeous to say the least. I would really like to see a close up picture of the bottom of the points where they meet the ring of snakewood. Is it all one piece?
Who came up with this design?

Wow!
I like the design and the color combination.
Everything flows very nicely with this cue.

No, the snakewood ring and points are seperate. If you see the cue up close you will see a subtle line. This is one of Ernie's older designs that he just took and greatly enhanced, to say the least. If you can believe it, the cue is even more stunning in person. The first time I saw it fresh off the press I knew it was my favorite Gina, ever. There are Ginacues out there that are more expensive, but this cue just fit my tastes, perfectly.

Thanks, Jim

TO GO FROM A DIE HARD JOSS WEST PLAYER TO A GINA, NOW THAT IS A BIG CHANGE! I guess strong arm john was right about a gina with 4.1 oz shafts are unbeatable, ernie is world class all the way

You are right, it was a big change. But I will always respect Bill Stroud as well as Ernie. They both have had a huge influence that cannot be understated.

I had an offer!!!!

Jim:
I told you I had an offer to sell your cue before I shipped it home to you. You coulda made a few grand by turnin' it! Riiiight!!!

The guy at FedEx Kinkos about dropped one in his shorts when I pulled out your Gina and the Schick and said, "I need to mail these." He was a pool player but had NEVER seen anything like those two! Even he thought you were a little off having that Gina as your player. I am like you though...why the hell by 'em if your not gonna shoot with 'em.

Good seeing you at the Expo. Look forward to gettin' together to shoot some soon.

Ginacue

As most you have probably seen, I have posted an ad on the "wanted or for sale" board that I am in the market for another Ginacue. Thought would go and post it on the this board, also. Just wanted to make sure that I covered as much ground as possible. I am looking to spend $4000-$6000.

Please keep your eyes out for me.

Thanks, Jimmy

Jim,

It was such a treat to see your Josswest and Gina at the Derby, and then your Gina(again...just can't have enough of it:) ) and you other cue full of silver inlays by Billy.

I just want to thank you so much for coming by the booth and share your wonderful collection with us.

You are one crazy man to play with that cue. With a 4.1 oz shaft, I am sure it is a sweet shooter:)

Cornerstone seems to have lots of really nice cues, there were the Gina cues they sold to Tony and Shannon, then I saw this beautiful Richard Black "box" cue from another friend who just got the cue from cornerstone in the Derby, and now you are walking around with that extremely elegant Gina of yours.

Once again, thank you for showing me your cues. This Gina is way more beautiful in person than in the pictures.

Looking forward to seeing you again. Thank you.

Richard,
I enjoyed the time we spent talking at both the DCC and VF. This is the best part of the whole billiards business, meeting and getting to know genuine people like yourself. I wish you much success in your business.

Best wishes and God bless,
Jimmy

Ok yeah, I'm suprised to see that he plays with his Gina too, but damn, isn't that what its designed for?!? I mean, what's the big deal? I've heard Barry say he wishes people would play with his stuff, even some, not all, of his facier works, because that's what it's for, to be played with. Yeah, I know your not going to take this on the road with you to all of the "seedy" pool halls out there, but I'm sure you could find someplace to play with it...at home possibly? Mabey I'm fussin' for no reason, but I'm realizing more and more, that cuemakers want people to play with their cues. That's why I like simpler cues, even from the top cuemakers, because you won't feel as hesitant to play with it and still get the benifit of a damn good cue.
