My Table is Alive!

yesterday, i adjusted my slate and every now and then my table will make a popping sound. anyone else have a table that creaks and groans or is it this funky texAss clay soil, shifting my foundation?

This is not a good thing. Better check that slate again. Or better yet, hire a table mechanic.
