Here is a new to me Troy Downey cue
Forearm is Amboyna burl
Handle is maple
The rings are Abalone trapezoids.
With a hard Ki Tech tip.
As is the case it looks much better in person
I have given some thought to a brown or tan leather wrap but I hate to have that pretty maple covered.
Any thoughts on that?

I think the leather wrap would look very nice with this. However, is that something you could come back from if you didn't like it?

nice looking cue

And I certainly wouldn't ruin it with a wrap. If you wanted a cue with a wrap, why did you buy a wrapless one?

Beautiful Troy Downey cue with nice woods and deco rings. Leave the handle alone!

I never had a wrap less cue before.
I just loved the look of the cue and wondered if a leather wrap would look better.
Wrap less or wrapped really doesn't matter to me.
It was just a thought.
and the price was right.

I really really like those trapezoid inlays! I've never seen that before, has a bit of an art deco look that I really like on there.

The pictures really don't show it but if you spin the rings slowly they change colors.
