this table had some issues...nothing I couldn't work out....
the owner searched high and low for a good table mechanic to work on his private tables."he wanted em done rite".. a few county's away he heard of me by word of mouth from a few strong pool players in the area...."you know how pool players move around"..
I showed him around the table and talked about whats has gone wrong with it and why..
of course there is some issues that is out of my hands because of production and manufacturing slop....we went over that to..
-I also like to tell customers about how the cloth I get is pre cut and it is out of my hands if the rails are cut just rite to get the simonis emblem visible on the rail at the head or foot of the table..maybe 1 out of 10 pre cut cloth I get happiness to land just rite...and also how the cloth could have visible stretch marks in the rite lighting until some good time in play and broke in
....i wont post pics of all the nasty work I found, im sure most of you table mechanics know what went wrong and what I went threw to get it rite...

here is a few before pics=+ more to come

That's nice until someone jumps a ball off the table and dings that Mustang!!! LOL

That's a cool looking spot, but I would be CONSTANTLY paranoid about that combination.

Nice work though!

work'

No jumps shots allowed there..and a ball hitting the mustang would suck..at least the SVT 500 cobra is on the other side of the GT if pool ball happiness to pop off table...I wouldn't want to hit the corvettes or the SRT 8 challenger either..balls are broke towards the wall/away from the cars....
- yes wax is removed...getting all the wax off was a pain in the ass..that blue wax sucks to remove, I used a torch, hot iron, grease and wax remover, turpentine and finger nails polish remover to get all of the wax off..
-will everyone that's using bees wax please stop using it and use bondo..anything but wax!
-
- thanks to all for the comments.
- I'm not cocky, just proud..there is a difference.
I will be back there to fix the other table shortly..

I carry wax with me for that reason. The blue wax isn't bad. By the way, nice work.

table.

Donny..you do excellent work yourself to buddy.
-thank you
You are wick bonding the joints and filling seam joints with wax when wax was previously used or no bonding agent when wax is present?

I sand the wax away from between the slates for superglue. If its a GC or Diamond I will almost always remove the wax to replace with bondo. And I usually wax all home tables. And I always glue the seams.

I always carry wax and bondo with me, and can't even remember how long it's been since I didn't glue the seams.... but I can honestly say that I've never gotten to do a couple of tables in a garage with THAT much great decorating! lol

Nice work Rob
