Skip all this and just click on the link if you want. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAc_aBM4izI
There is just so much that can be said about that link right there. First, it's about the earliest you'll see of said player so for those who wonder why people talk about him so much and why so many still like him well here he is as a youngster shooting like Jayson Shaw.
Next is some of the stats or data or just info that was given in this not to mention for some of the old farts seeing some of these old commercials again might do something for them, lol.
Now i know that some will take one look at the quality and for heavens sake that color cloth and say "no this is not for me" but some will enjoy either the throw back and some will enjoy seeing this player in their early years for the first time. So sit back and enjoy, I know i did.

A famous match, as it was a kind of professional coming out party for "said player," who was just 22 at the time.

@Scott thanks for the thanks and PoolBum thanks for not giving away the secret. I posted this to show the talent of said player of whom i know so many have no idea what type of fire power they really possess, not to mention with so little footage of the great players back in their day.

I know what clip this is even without having to open it, and it is legendary.

In the post match interview he sounds so human I feel like I have to pinch myself.

Thanks so much for bringing back this long forgotten match. Like night and day Earl's past interaction with the crowd compared to the present. His firepower was just starting to kick into gear and brought home the cheese for years to come.

Myself, I loved playing on gold/tan cloth. While it may not be so good for TV, I could see the balls better and the use of tan chalk meant no ugly blue shafts.

Thanks again.....

I think "said player" gave some back story on events that lead up to this match on one of his road stories DVDs. Love the video - thanks for the great post!
