I sold the mystery cue to one man
a second man called and said Am I too late,so Isold him Jackpots Hoppe style

Today a man from Buffalo,New York called and ask for a mystery cue so I sent him the cue i was playing with,

I have no sales resistance,I have no cue to play with

I may have to play with my new Larry Vigus box cue that i was thinking about collecting.

I hate playing with new cues because it hurts when I raise my head when I jump up and hit my new cue on the light fixture

Dean, you are a bigger man than most.

Buying a cue from you is on my bucket list.

I can echo that

NEITHER do I

I wrote on one of the other mystery cue posts a query about where are all the
cynics and highly critical posters now after the newest recipient of one of Dean’s
mystery cues stated how thrilled he was with the cue he just received.

Dean doesn’t buy or sell inferior quality pool cues and he never screws anyone
and has a sterling track record that is impeccable. Plus his taste in cues is great.

you guys are a fun bunch

i have noticed that some of our older members are not around

that's a shame,it has been fun being a part of this

Mystery cues don't appeal to me because the mystery or allure for me is seeing a
cue I want and making a deal on it.
I have to know what I'm buying and unless I'm helping someone out or getting a
throw-in on a trade deal, I have to want the cue before I buy it.

I know what you mean cuesblues. Dean has expressed many times his regret over his
inexperience posting cue photos on Az and sometimes helpful Azers have stepped in &
posted the photos on his behalf. A picture is worth a thousand words or so the expression
goes. But it's so simple for anyone that's even remotely interested to learn more about any
"mystery cue" thread Dean presents on the Forum. It simply involves sending Dean a PM
and request his phone number if you don't happen to have it. Then place a call to him in
Texas and he'll describe the cue in detail, answer any question to the best of his ability and
decide if the cue has added appeal than befoe or maybe the call was mainly just curiosity.

Herein lies the rub .....over the recent years, so far none of the many mystery cue buyers have
complained about their purchase. Quite to the contrary, everyone has been pleased they acted
on Dean's mystery cue thread despite the missing photos. So if I were Dean, I likely wouldn't be
overly concerned about posting another mystery cue for sale without any photos since his
track record for satisfaction is 100% and it also adds a bit of interest & commentary on the FS
Forum as well. Nonetheless, I know Dean would like to include pictures and perhaps sometime
in the future it will happen. In the meantime, we get to enjoy these threads and at any time a cue
is of interest, all we need do is call Dean. I know I have in the past & despite learning the cue
wasn't a good fit, I still enjoyed talking with Dean and often times it lead to getting an entirely
different cue from him. I've had four transactions with Dean & have never been disappointed.

I could live with no pics, some that people sends aren't that great, but I have to know the cuemaker first.
I'm sure whoever the cuemaker is a decent popular guy, but some of them I just don't want their cues...it's a thing.
It would surprise me if the mystery wasn't a good one, just some I don't want unless it's a trade situation.
