I kind of had this dumped on me a few days ago. But there will be flyers available at Hard Times with the information.

Thanks to Hard Times Bellflower, Eddie, Elias and staff

I would like to also add to the announcement that the owners of Hard Times Billiards in Bellflower is also adding $500 to the prize fund for this qualifier.

Thanks gentlemen for your support of pool and the NCS.

Like Holly said, $500 has been added to the tournament. The format is double elimination, BCA Pool League rules enforced. As director, I'm going to go ahead and put an entry cap of 64, with the races set at a tentative 7 and 5 for the one loss side. Number of payouts will be from 12 or 16 places depending on entries. If the number of entries is low (for some reason), the race may be extended. I know it's right after Reno, but if you get knocked out of the open early, the drive is about 8 to 10 hours straight.

Practice at 12PM Saturday, Starts at 1PM. No Phone Ins, and once I make last call for entries on Saturday (which means I'm doing the draw), no late entries will be allowed, no exceptions.

Bump for those in the Southern California Area. It starts THIS Saturday, Practice at 12, Starts at 1. Hope to see some of you there.

The NCS is open to all players, men, women, amateur and professional. You do not have to be a member of any league or organization at all to play. Please feel free to PM, email or call me if you have any questions about the NCS or CSI.

I woke up this morning thinking of maybe driving down for the day from Las Vegas to visit while the tourny is happening.

Why are you having this on the same weekend as the Reno Open. A lot of great western US players are at Reno right now. If this tournament is as last minute as it seems, why not push it back until after Xmas so the ones at Reno can come too. That would also give you more exposure time.

Just my $.02 worth.

The NCS 8-Ball Championship will have 64 players, all who will come from the qualifier system. Hard Times Bellflower was added to the calendar a little later and when it was there were already a CA and NV dates taking place in Jan. and right before Christmas. The idea was any players in either the Cali area who were not able to attend the Reno Open or those who get knocked out before Sat. would have the option to attend the Bellflower qualifier.

We've received calls in the office today about it.
