Need a little help....

I came from Terre Haute, Indiana and then to Cincinnati, Ohio and finally landed here in Paducah Kentucky. (Long story)

Anyway, I try to play as good of players as possible wherever I am at. But instead of getting a spot in those spots, I now have to give them.

In the last session today, I was playing I was giving the 8 ball. In playing, I was down 5 games early, and fought my way back to even and then asked about doubling the bet, they would double the bet but also wanted the break and I agreed. When we finished I was 4 games ahead.

The player said they wouldnt play me that way again, and wanted more weight. I said I probably couldnt give more, they wanted the 7 and the 8. I said how about a game spot?

SO here is how we are going to try next time....I will give them the 7 ball and the 2 games on the wire in a race to 7.

I dont think most people understand what a big spot that is.....

Well, my first thought is that if you have moved to a town where you have to give up weight to get a game I need to come visit :thumbup:

Second, if you dont think you can give him the 7 & 8, why would you give him the 7 and two going to 7? Here is how I would look at it, if your giving him 2 games to 7 you have to beat him 7 to 4. Thats almost 2 to 1. Can you give this guy the 7 and still win 2 of every 3 games consistently?

If you dont like the game then wait for another, once they get to know you they will be lining up to play

So far I havent booked a loser yet. I am starting to hit them better, I really like the old JW cue I have been playing with.

I wish you would come down here, I got 2 games going to 5 for the rest of my life from you.
