i have a buddy who wants to buy a 9ft table. I told him to buy a diamond. He was looking at an oldhousen and a valley which were cheaper. What really is different? Thanks

Personally, I wouldn't consider a Valley. Regarding Olhausen and Diamond, the rails are clearly different.

I got in trouble once by reversing the facts re: those two tables so I won't go there again.

But many reails are manufactured in China and fewer in the U.S. I would recommend that you contact the sales departments or dealers for those two companies and ask specific questions about their rails's advantages.

But there is no substitute for playing on the tables. It will probably be easier to find Diamonds in pool halls than Olhausens and that should tell you something.

I happen to own an Olhausen but only because a friend was selling it when I was interested in buying a table so that's what I bought.

When I play out though, it is mostly on Diamonds and I can say that they are both excellent tables.

Regards,
Jim
