Hi everybody~

Please do me a favor tell me who did a good job in changing ferrules ?

I live in LA, around 25 mins to LAX~~

Also, how much it's goona cost for the ivory ferrules ??

Thanks,

Tanson

not sure about LA,but i am sure there are some in house cue repairmen in some pool halls out there.ivory should be around $50.

Thank you very much ~~I tried to change the ferrules in local pool hall~~but~they sux!! Anywayz~really appreciate for your help.

Go to HardTimes or Hollywood Billiards and ask one of the better players. Ernie at Ginace might do it, as would several other cuemakers that are in the area.

Jay Helfert, on this board, could hook you up also.

Or contact Kevin Varney on AZ. He did some ferrule work for a friend of mine and the results were amazing.
Not sure what Kevins schedule is like these days but I had Kevin do some work for me (tips on 4 shafts). Kevin received the shafts in the morning via USPS and they were on the way back to me the very same evening. All the work was perfect!

With Express shipping, you can be without the shaft less than a couple of days.

Awesome guy to talk to and great work as well.

Andrew Park, hes near you he lives in brentwood next to ucla. He's a great cue maker and I always have him do my repairs, hes in the 3rd edition of the blue book of pool cues.
his number is (310)666-1411

he can do ivory ferrules and his standard ferrule he uses is ivorine 4
i dont know exactly what he charges for ivory ferrules but i know its in the range of 75 to 100

If you go to Hard Times, you should go upstairs to Little Al Romero's shop. He can do just about anything you need.

I agree with the higher range for ivory ferrules. More in the $60.00 to $80.00 range to narrow it down. Keep in mind though, it's not the price, it's the quality of work. I would take Corey's suggestion if it's close enough to you. If not, don't rule out shipping them.
