Well...

Years ago, I had some cues stolen out of my Dad's car....turns out they were covered under my parents homeowner's insurance...I got a check for like $2300

Not sure if that's the case in the state of MA...or if the guy has homeowners insurance...but it would be worth looking into...

Hope Your Buddy Finds The Thief

I hope your buddy finds the thief...I hate people who steal. I'll bet your buddy never leaves a high end cue in his car again. This should be a lesson to everyone…don’t leave your cue in the car!!!

I agree, homeowners insurance might pay for it. I had my golf clubs stolen out of my car and my homeowners insurance told me anything that's usually in my house would be covered if it was stolen out of my car, so they wrote me a check.

File a Police Report

His homeowners insurance should cover it (if he has homeowners insurance)...but you must file a police report.

Thanks for everyone inputs, Police report has been filed. The cue owner like to be contacted if you have any leads at all, Thanks again.

why would ANYONE keep a cue of this quality and value in thier car??? If it wasn't in my hand, in a case strapped to my leg or curled up next to me in a spoon enbrace while I slept...
So sorry to hear of your friends loss

I guess that is kind of a moot point. He should have known better, he knows what Brockton, the city where Westgate is located, is about, but it doesn't ease his loss any. I know people who won't play at Westgate for fear of their car being stolen.
I'd bet the person didn't know what he got, just some junky looking for a score. There is a tournament there that night so the possibility exists the person knew exactly what he got.
I'll keep my eyes open, but it is either long gone or in a pawn shop somewhere.

I am sure it is someone who knew the cue was in there and followed the owner for while and than stole it when he got a chance.

This is one of the best looking sw i have ever seen.
