I purchased this cue over 15/20 years ago it appears to be very high quality with nice inlay work hopefully the pictures come out good enough to identify, the other cue in the picture is my schon for comparison, the cue has two shafts the original, 5/16x14 joint and an aftermarket original ob1 shaft. There is no writing, labels or signatures anywhere to be found.

That is an older cue but I don't think it is an Adams cue. I wouldn't be too quick to sell that cue. My only question is it 57" or 58"? I would value it more highly if it is 57". The 58" cue did not become more popular until the 1980's.

I'm no expert, but it looks a bit like an early TAD cue to me. I saw one recently with very similar points with no veneers.

I will measure it when I get home

When I purchased the cue from a guy selling it in main Street billiards almost 15/20 years ago they told me it was a balabushka. The photograph should definitely don't do the cue Justice with the craftsmanship I was curious if I took off the leather wrap if possibly there could be a signature underneath.

I'm not 100% certain but I'd send pictures of that cue to Tescarella custom cues I believe they bought out all of George's equipment and records .
Just a thought but I wouldn't be cutting anything off it if it were mine .

There may be a signature under the wrap but if you remove it the value will drop no matter the maker, you will need to re wrap it or take a hit on the end value. What kind of screw to hold the bumper on? show a pic. If you can remove it without damage that would be best and a pic of where the bumper fits.

Looks similar to an Adam Balabushka GB5

There has been a legend for years that says George signed a small number of cues under the wrap. It's never been proven, to my knowledge.

Is that why my old Joss West is so freaking short? I always wondered why it was only 57”. I play with a 60” cue normally so it seems likes a kids cue when I use it.

There was a company I think it was Competition Sports? that imported a line up of replica cues, just a thought.

they imported the really nice ADAM-made HOF CS cues. You still see the real ones on Ebay sometimes but most are Chinese versions.

That cue is an Adam made Balabushka. The forearm was likely refinished, if not the entire cue, and the signature was lost.

Here is one with all the stickers.
