Need help on howto remove residual chalk mark on table

I like micro fiber better than terry. I used terry for 15+ years then switched. Cheap unwashed terry will leave behind pieces of cloth that will need to be picked up. That's the main reason, but micro fiber "seems" to pick up more chalk. I also wash em and re-use em. Walmart $1 a piece. Same method as Joe 1/4 per 1/4.

I find it hard to believe that burn marks can be removed entirely but have never spent that much time on them.

Prevention is the best method.

Keep the equip clean and everyone will be happy for a very long time.

I won't mention maintaining some slide. OOPs I just did. Anyway pool players don't like it. so forgive me.

My friends actually told me that I was too anal cleaning the table and balls too much than necessary. The micro fiber cloth that came with the Chalk-Off's great. It doesn't leave any cloth particles, works lie a magnet. The whole table looks brand new except for that break spot.
 
The burn marks are caused by friction induced heat when hitting hard shots. These are most notable around the usual break areas but will also occur all over the table, mostly when hitting hard draw shots (the spin causes the friction burn). These are not so noticeable because they are more evenly spread out over the entire playing surface but the break areas (and the path to the apex ball) tend to show more because the marks are clustered in those areas. What I'm not sure about is if they are actually burns in the cloth (which I would expect to be brown and not white) or if it is really the result of the friction burning the dye out of the cloth. I'm guessing it's the latter but I don't know if bed cloth is that shade of white before it is dyed.

Use a break cloth and it will help minimize the damage.

My guess is that they are not real "burn" marks becasue they can usually be removed. Seems that if they were actual burns you could not do that. That said there are some marks that are difficult even some that are impossible to remove.

I have a friend who has a tremendous break and the marks he makes seem close to permanent -- or I am just lazy.
