Need Help With Cue ID Verification

Trying to verify for a friend that the pics of the cue below is actually a Joss.
Any help would be appreciated?

Rick, you need to post some additional photo's of the cue. Post a photo of the cues pin, remove the bumper and take a photo of the bottom of the cue, take some photo's of the shafts, Top and the bottom. How many shafts are there with this cue, and also list all other information you have about the cue, when purchased or anything else.

The Cue appears to be a Joss West ( Bill Stroud) , not a Joss made by Danny Janes. The reason for the different names above is because Danny and Bill use to work together at Joss, But Bill left the company and started Joss West in Colorado.

However, none of the above is for certain only an idea. The extra photo's would solve the problem however.

I would suggest sending pics to Tim Scruggs and Dan Janes of Joss cues. Could be either ... nice cue
 
Cue ID

Manwon is probably correct, but I believe that this was a collaborative effort of Janes and Stroud, pre 1972. I doubt it is a Josswest. My other thought upon seeing the design was a very early Richard Black. I hope it can be authenticated and the mystery revealed.
 
I think like bobalouiecda: my best guess is 68-72 Joss (joint effort of Stroud and Janes), before the 1972 split into Joss West and Joss. I base my guess from the rings, color scheme, and overall design character (from other Joss cues of that time period).

You should definitely e-mail the pics to Dan Janes. You can get all his contact info and e-mail at josscues.com

Previous posts have indicated he is very helpful in identifying his early cues. In fact, if it is a cue of his, he might appreciate the photos, since according to his web site, he is putting together photos and brochures of his older cues.

If I had to guess

Joss- Double blocked resin joint with the maple rings above and below the maple blocks.
But If Joss made it I am pretty sure someone at Joss Cues will know!
