One of my colleagues found this cue while cleaning. Her late husband bought it in the 70's (maybe 60's) and she does not know anything about it. I told her I would share the photos with the AZBilliard community and get some feedback. Thanks in advance.

Also posted the case. I thought the fur-lining was cool.

Please try not to be TOO impressed with my amazing left foot in the last photo...:)

I am pretty sure it is an Abe Rich. Contact Joe Van (classiccues) and he will be able to tell you for sure.

not Abe.

It's a Rich Q made by Saul Rich, Abe's cousin.Abe did work for Saul for awhile so he could have worked on it....Rick.

Yes it's a Rich cue made by the Rich cue company in New York. This looks like it was a made in the USA version and I would estimate late 1960's to early 1970's. In the 1970's the company was sold and the name was used for import cues.

It's obviously Zebrawood. Rich cues were affordable production cues - it's not particularly valuable but ot looks like it's in really nice shape. The soft case is not collectible but definitely useful..

Rich Q Company was Saul Rich, son of Isadore (Issy / Izzy Rich), not Abe (who did work for Saul for a couple of years, but in the early 60's, not the 70's or even late 60's).

Abe Rich started Florida Cues 1965 and then later renamed it Star Cues in the early 70's.

“You’ve got to work, you know what I mean? You have to put all your feeling into it to make a nice cue.” - Abe Rich

Freddie <~~ not Rich

You and Rick9005 are correct. I responded from what I remembered and obviously my memory is already failing!!

After reading all the posts and an extensive studying of this cue I have am 99% sure it's a Rich cue.
