Need info on Engles cases.

I picked up an Engles 1x2 in black elephant ear in trade at the Derby. I was told it is a Kelli tube which some said brought up the value slighty. I don't know much about these cases, so not sure the value. The case is in near mint condition and I will have pics up later today or tomorrow. Can someone give me an idea of what the value is on this case?

The only Kelli Case I ever had my hand on was not a STIFF when you SQUEEZED THE BODY of the Case, like say a Ron Thomas, or GTF is.

I thought the Wall Thickness of the Tube was Less than a Ron Thomas, or GTF.

The value in your case comes from several things. The quality of the case, the exotic hide used, the allure of the old school hardware, all combine to make the case quite valuable. The Kelli tubes are smaller than the tubes Engles designed, some prefer them, some don't, and to some it makes no difference.

The Kelli tubes are as strong or stronger than any tube style case. I suspect because Kelli cases were often not marked or labeled people mistake inferior made cases for them and attribute things like structural weakness incorrectly.
 
Well not sure about that, I have tried many cues in this case and they all fit great. I think this case was in Joe's booth but I didn't get it from him. This case may go up for trade sometime soon.
